Classes will be held every other month at Clay Days

Next class will be August 18

$10 per person, 15 students maximum. This will be a 3 hour class (pretty much)

A basic plan will start each class, but format will be flexible. If the majority of students know techniques suggested, we will move on to something else. Nobody will be left behind, though. Instruction in the basic techniques will be shown at all classes.

Membership in the guild is not required to take the class, but you are encouraged to join.

What we do in class will depend on the level of experience of our students. If you have requests, please email me.

Possibilities: beads, stamped pins, leaf cane

Images shown are what we have done in past classes. We can work on them as well as

 new techniques.

 Tools:

  • Blade (such as tissue blade, Sculpey Blade, or NuBlade)

  • Pasta machine if you have one. Acrylic roller, sturdy straight-sided drinking glass or brayer if you do not

  • Portable work surface-a ceramic tile, file folder or disposable cutting board

 Supplies:

  • One package each of your favorite brand of clay (Recommend: Kato, Fimo Original or Premo) in white, black, your favorite color, one color that goes nicely with your favorite color and any other color you want.  Note: if you need more clay, I will have some Kato Polyclay you can purchase.

  • Waxed paper or plastic wrap

  • Clay-safe container(s) to take projects home (plastic like Tupperware or Rubbermaid)

PLEASE be sure to have your clay conditioned and ready to use for class. If you have any questions about how to condition your clay, email Kim.
